Training Course Terms and Conditions (T&C’s)
How to book
All bookings must be made with Claire on 01559 418759 or by email to claire@thomassafetyservices.co.uk
Spaces are often limited for our courses and will be allocated on a ‘first come first served’ basis.
To secure a place, you are advised to book early.
Fees, payment and how the contract is formed between you and Thomas Safety Services Ltd
You will receive an email with an invoice to confirm your booking.
Full payment must be received in advance of the course.
On receipt of full payment, the contract is formed between you and Thomas Safety Services Ltd.
Our payments terms are net 7 days from the date of invoice or prior to course date, whichever is sooner.

Attendance at the course
On arrival, all trainees must complete and sign the training course attendance register. This will demonstrate each trainee has attended the course, will be used to aid with the production of training certificates and in the event of an emergency, will be used as a roll call.
Trainees will not be admitted to the course unless full payment has been received by Thomas Safety Services Ltd prior to the course taking place.
Our training courses are practical, interactive and where necessary, have hands-on elements (e.g. Manual Handling).
A certificate of completion will be provided to the business for all of their trainees successfully completing the training course. However, if a candidate is unwilling to participate during the course, the certificate of completion may be withheld.
- Put their phone (and any other audible devices) on silent or turn them off during the course.
- Enter openly into discussions.
- Say what they think… Even if they don’t agree!
- Let ONE person talk at a time.
- Ask their question when they think of it.
- Avoid private conversations during the course.
- Confine discussions to the relevance of the course.
- Be patient with other people present.
- Appreciate the other person’s point of view.
All trainees can take a comfort break whenever necessary and leave the room to take urgent phone calls.
Cancellations
All cancellations must be received in writing to claire@thomassafetyservices.co.uk
Cancellations received 7 days or more prior to the start of the course will receive a full refund.
No refunds will be given if you withdraw a trainee, for whatever reason, within 7 days of the start of the course. However, a substitute trainee will be accepted.
Course transfers
There is no charge for transferring your booking to the same course on an alternative date provided you notify Thomas Safety Services Ltd in writing 14 days or more prior to the start of the course and we have availability on the requested date.

Non-attendance at a course
We cannot give refunds for delegates who fail to attend for whatever reason.
Cancellation of a course by Thomas Safety Services Ltd
Thomas Safety Services Ltd reserves the right to alter published dates, trainers, speakers, fees or venues without prior notice and without liability.
Thomas Safety Services Ltd also reserves the right to cancel a course at any time without liability to trainees for expenses incurred.
We base our courses on group interaction, so if we do not receive adequate trainee numbers to ensure the training course is practical and effective for each trainee, we retain the right to cancel the course. In such circumstances, trainees will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.
Force Majeure
Thomas Safety Services Ltd reserves the right to cancel, suspend or vary the operation of our obligations to you if events occur which are in the nature of force majeure including (but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing) fire, flood, storms, plant breakdowns, strikes, lock outs, riot, hostilities, non-availability of material or suppliers or any event outside of Thomas Safety Services Ltd.’s control; and we shall not be held liable for any breach of contract or tort resulting from such an event.
Warranties and Liabilities
Thomas Safety Services Ltd will perform any services with reasonable skill and care.
For all courses the total liability of Thomas Safety Services Ltd under these Terms and Conditions whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise shall be limited to an amount equal to 100% of the sum of all fees paid by you to us due under these Terms and Conditions or, if higher, the amount available under any responding insurance policy.
Notwithstanding any provision to the contrary in these Terms and Conditions, nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude or limit Thomas Safety Services Ltd.’s liability for death or personal injury caused by the Thomas Safety Services Ltd.’s negligence or for fraudulent misrepresentation or for any liability that may not be limited or excluded by law.
General
The interpretations, construction, effect and enforceability of these Terms and Conditions and your use of the website shall be governed by UK law, and both parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the UK courts for the determination of all disputes arising between them.
