We provide Competent Corporate Health and Safety Advice, Competent Fire Safety Advice and Competent Construction Safety Advice to a diverse range of small to medium size businesses throughout Wales and in other areas such as Bristol, Bath, London, etc.
There are some Health and Safety (H&S) consultants that will only provide you with documentation, some of which probably won’t even be relevant to your business. So ask yourself – How well do these consultants actually understand what your business does and the risks you face on a day-to-day basis?
We provide a dedicated hands-on consultant who will visit your workplace at least once a year as part of our Retained Service Level. Our professionally qualified, experienced and registered consultant will consult with you on the areas of your business that give you the greatest concerns.
We are very pleased to announce that we have been audited by Trading Standards and are now listed on the Buy With Confidence website www.buywithconfidence.gov.uk/profile/thomas-safety-services-ltd

Why you need a ‘competent person’:

If the business does not have an employee who is the “competent person” it must appoint someone external to the organisation to provide that assistance. Read more about Regulation 7 and ‘competent persons’.
- Regulation 8 of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM) requires allocation of sufficient resources, such as a competent person. Read more about the requirements of CDM.
- Part 2 (18)(1) of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order (FSO) requires that a ‘competent person’ be appointed. Read more about the FSO and competent persons.
